Public Short Courses

Public Short Courses are open to the general public, tailored towards those who are employed in finance-related fields. They are usually advertised in industry publications and on our website, where full details of prerequisites and required materials can be found for each course. The courses are conducted in the Macquarie University Applied Finance Centre (MAFC) lecture facilities at the following locations (links to the Public Short Courses page):

Please click on the above for details on upcoming public short courses at that location. If you would like to receive email notices announcing these Short Courses, you may subscribe to the Short Course email announcement list. To do this, either send an email to or visit our Short Course Announcements web page (in either case you will be sent a confirmation email to confirm your subscription).

In-House Short Courses

We also offer In-House Short Courses, which can be either standard courses (as per the Public Short Course schedule) or they can be tailored for the client's requirements. They can be held either "in-house" (on your organisation's premises) or at our Applied Finance Centre facilities in one of our locations. For course suggestions, please refer to the following list of previously run courses.

PS146/RG146 Compliance Gap Training Program

The Applied Finance Centre now offers an in-house short course for graduates and current students of the Macquarie University Applied Finance Program who intend to provide financial product advice in the Australian regulated marketplace. This course is designed to cover material that is not specifically addressed within the framework of the Masters program, to allow graduates to meet the requirements of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). The course is conducted in the Macquarie University Applied Finance Centre (MAFC) lecture facilities. Please use the following links:
