I have just completed my final unit, what happens next?

Your results will be presented to a University Senate meeting for a formal decision to award you the degree. Results are presented twice a year – in July and December. If you complete your final unit between July – November your results will be presented to the December meeting. If you complete during January – June your results are presented to the July meeting.

Around two months before the graduation date for your centre of study, you will receive a letter from the University about graduation arrangements. For instance: If you complete the unit in November in Sydney, your results will be presented in December, and you will receive a letter regarding the April graduation ceremony sometime in February.

If you are intending on graduating in a centre you did not study in (e.g. Singapore) you may need to contact the graduation office before they can send you any information.

I am leaving my current address, how do I let the University know my new address?

You need to complete a Change of Personal Information Form and submit this to either the Campus or City office. If you do not update your details then the graduation information letter will go to your previous address.

What if I am not going to attend the ceremony?

You will be asked in the University’s letter whether you want to attend the graduation ceremony. If you choose to graduate ‘in absentia’ the University will post your testamur & transcript to you shortly after the ceremony. The documents will be posted to the address we have recorded for you so make sure you advise any address changes.

If you want additional copies of your transcript you need to fill a request for academic transcript form and send it to us with the appropriate payment.
