Master of Applied Finance Program
The Centre’s Master of Applied Finance Program (MAFP) is taught in Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo, Singapore and Beijing. This program, the largest in the world of its kind, is fully portable between locations.
The Applied Finance Centre is the first member of the CFA Institute's Partnership Program to operate in each of our teaching locations. The high degree of overlap between the Masters Program and the CFA make it ideal preparation for those taking the CFA exams.
The MAFP is highly flexible and has been designed to accommodate those working full-time in the industry, with classes held at times and locations convenient for people combining work and study.
Students are able to specialise in areas such as:
- Funds Management
- Risk Management
- Corporate Finance
- Instruments & Valuation
Within each specialisation there are a wide range of electives, tailored to provide students with the detailed knowledge required for success in the modern, fast-moving financial services sector.
You need to complete a total of 32 credit points made up of five core units (4 credit points each) and six elective units (2 credit points each).
You can finish the program in two years (or more) of part-time study or one year full-time. A typical program of study for a student seeking to complete the program over two years would involve:
