Master of Applied Finance Program (MAFP)

Our flagship program is a two year (part-time) or one year (full-time) Master of Applied Finance, offering a range of core and elective units designed specifically for those wishing to further their careers by acquiring advanced knowledge in one of the following specialised areas of finance:

  • Funds Management
  • Risk Management
  • Corporate Finance
  • Instruments & Valuation

This program is offered in Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo, Singapore and Beijing, and is portable across the various locations.

For detailed information about the MAFP, click here. You can also view and download the information brochures and application forms in PDF format.

CFA Partnership Program

The Applied Finance Centre is the first member of the CFA Institute's Partnership Program to operate in each of our teaching locations. The high degree of overlap between the Masters Program and the CFA make it suitable preparation for those taking the CFA exams.

PhD in Applied Finance Program

The Centre also offers research training and scholarships leading to a PhD in Applied Finance. This is for those wishing to explore a particular topic in depth with a view to pursuing a career as a professional researcher.

Short Courses

In addition to degree-based programs, the Centre runs a number of in-house and public-entry short courses complement or extend our Masters-level units.

These can be tailored to suit the requirements of firms seeking specialized training for their employees, or for those participants wanting to increase their knowledge of an area of finance. Some of the areas covered are Investments, Portfolio Management, Option Pricing, Economics of Financial Markets, Debt and Equity Capital Markets or Venture Capital. Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Finance Program

This program is, in essence, half of the Masters Program.
