Macquarie Business School is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools. AACSB maintains the largest business education network connecting students, educators, and businesses worldwide, comprising the top five per cent of business schools globally.

AACSB accreditation provides a framework of 9 international standards against which business schools around the world assess the quality of their educational services. These standards ensure continuous improvement in all areas, including:

AMBA AccreditationAssociation of MBAs

Our Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Global Master of Business Administration (GMBA) courses are accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA). AMBA’s accreditation philosophy is centred on impact, employability and learning outcomes.

AMBA accreditation is recognised as a gold standard of business education and ensures that accredited programs demonstrate the highest standards in teaching, learning and curriculum design; career development and employability; and student, alumni and employer interaction. MQBS is one of less than 300 AMBA accredited schools worldwide.

Actuaries Institute

The Actuaries Institute has a heritage in Australia dating back to 1897 and is committed to promoting and maintaining a high standard of actuarial practice. The Actuaries Institute accredits the Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and the Master of Actuarial Studies courses at MQBS as being able to provide exemptions towards its Foundation Program.

Australian HR Institute (AHRI)

AHRI is the professional body supporting HR in Australia, setting HR standards and certifying HR professionals through the internationally benchmarked Australian HR Capability Framework.

AHRI recognise the Bachelor of Commerce in HR Management as providing the academic quality and standards necessary for preparing to enter the Australian HR profession.

CAANZ – Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (Australia/New Zealand)

Candidates who have completed the Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance specialising in Business Valuation meet the educational requirement for Pathway 1 to earn a CAANZ Business Valuation specialisation. Graduates must be a CAANZ member and a Chartered Accountant to qualify for further progression.

Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association (Global)

CAIA recognises that at least 60 per cent of the required body of knowledge for CAIA candidates is covered within the Master of Applied Finance curriculum. Graduate members would therefore require less time to achieve the CAIA qualification.

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute (Global)

CFA recognises that at least 70 per cent of the required body of knowledge for CFA qualification is covered within the Master of Applied Finance (MAF), and that candidates will be more successful if they are trained in the Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) while they are enrolled in a degree program such as the MAF.

CPA Australia and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

The Bachelor of Professional Accounting and Master of Professional Accounting courses satisfy accreditation requirements for CPA Australia, one of the world’s largest accounting bodies, and can provide a pathway into the CPA Program. Additionally, completion of these courses may provide exemptions to the Fundamental Level exams for ACCA.

The ACT – Association of Corporate Treasurers (UK)

The ACT is the only professional treasury body with a Royal Charter, and Macquarie University is the first university in Australasia to have a degree accredited by them.

Students completing appropriate units in the Master of Applied Finance program will be eligible for ACT’s Certificate in Treasury qualification and earn recognition of prior learning for three of the four units required to complete the Diploma in Treasury Management.

Upon completion of the final ACT unit, graduates qualify for the diploma and Associate Membership of the ACT.

The Australian Computer Society

The Master of Business Analytics is fully accredited at the Professional Level by the Australian Computer Society (ACS). Students are required to complete the core units and ACCG8086 and COMP6210 from the flexible zone to be recognised.

ACS is the official accrediting body for the IT sector in Australia. ACS-accredited tertiary courses and study programs provide assured quality education for students with ambitions of a tech career.

Graduates of this course would satisfy a part of the qualification requirement for skills assessment for visa purpose.
