CAIA academic partnership scholarships

CAIA Academic Partner

Through our academic partnership with CAIA (the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association), we are able to offer up to four Scholarships per intake to our students.

The CAIA Scholarships are designed to introduce students to the alternative investment profession and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Charter. The CAIA Charter is a globally recognised standard for alternative investment analysts. The Scholarships are for new CAIA candidates, only, but are available for both Levels I and II.

To qualify

To qualify to apply, you will be a student at any of MAFC’s teaching centres, and will need to have completed Investments or Portfolio Management and Valuation, and at least one of the following units:

The CAIA Curriculum and CAIA Study Materials are the only preparation materials endorsed by the CAIA Association. The CAIA Curriculum & Study Materials page contains everything candidates need to know to build a solid foundation in alternative investment markets and to prepare for both levels of the CAIA exams.

* Please note, the scholarship does not cover the cost of study materials.


To apply for a CAIA Scholarship:

  1. Send an email to with subject: "CAIA Scholarship March 2019". State your grades in ECFFS865 Investments or AFCP801 Portfolio Management and Valuation, and in at least one of the units of study above, then in 500 words or less explain why you would like to be considered for a Scholarship.
  2. Include a completed formal CAIA Student Scholarship Application in your email. Your formal application will be endorsed and submitted with you by a member of the MAFC Academic Faculty.
